More about Komatevo
Komatevsko Shose: always give the number
Komatevsko Shose runs for several kilometres from Nikola Vaptsarov Boulevard to Komatevo itself, and the house numbers go above 200. “Komatevsko Shose” on its own is not enough, because the driver may head for the wrong end. Give the number, or the name of the nearest big shop, car service or bus stop. If you are staying at a guesthouse or the campsite on the road, the number is on your booking confirmation. Inside Komatevo these are the pickup points people use most:
- the bus turnaround (“obrashtaloto”), the easiest meeting point, especially at night;
- Zaharidovo Street, the main street of the district;
- the blocks of flats on Bademite and Lozarska streets – give the block number and the entrance (“vhod”);
- the Botev football club base, with its hotel and the bus stop next to it.
The easiest option for visitors is the One App: you drop the pin on the map yourself, see the car and its number plate, and follow it as it arrives. That also helps with new houses that are not yet in every navigation app.
When cars are busiest
Komatevo is an evening district. Orders build up from 17:00 and peak between 22:00 and midnight, and almost two in five rides here are at night, after 22:00, when the night tariff applies. There is also an early peak around 05:00 for people going to a shift. Saturday is the busiest day; the rest of the week is fairly even. If you are coming back from the centre on a Friday or Saturday night, order a little earlier or in the app while you are still at the table. For an early train or flight, book the evening before.
